September

Labor day fun in the creek. This was taken in the Cherokee National Forrest on Tellico Creek.
They ended up looking really bright...
...and Tanner had lots of fun!
It was a little chilly because it was so shady
I just love having puppies...it seems like every day they get cuter
Poor momma is overworked with all those babies.
The kittens have decided to use my porch as a playground...unfortunately they are making a real mess in the process.
Moving all those puppies to a new pen was an interesting endeavor...
...they really didn't want to stay in the wagon.
We got our boar pig at the end of the month.  He is a Berkshire and his name is Ego Trip II. His grandfather is the grand champion Ring of Fire...or so I was told. I guess to some people this means something. All it means to me is that I will have little baby piglets and will eventually be able to put some pork in the freezer.
He is really big and intimidating...I don't think I am going in that pen anymore.
A few weeks later and the kittens are getting big already. They are at the cute stage now
They are already getting big...
...and so darn cute.
And they are already trying to guard the sheep.
We had to make a pen for the puppies that Sheba could get in and out of but the puppies couldn't. Madison is so good at making these spur of the moment things with whatever we have lying around.
The puppies really weren't happy about being stuck in there though.
Happy pigs laying in the mudhole.

Pigs and kittens and puppies...oh my

A pig in her puddle...happiness doesn't get any better!...
...unless it's pigs in slop
Fences need to be trimmed again...
...almost can't even see the fence in there.
I really don't enjoy this job, but look at all the wonderful grass the steers will have once we move them.
This is Sheba...she is due to have puppies any day now.
Once line finally done...
...same fenceline, this view from the other end
It just looks so nice when it is all trimmed...I wish it would stay looking like this a little longer.

He really just wants to get into the new grass
The sheep have been moving between a few pastures up by the creek. They are just about finished with this one and will be moving in a week or so.
Kittens, they are cute as all baby animals are...
...but we really didn't need 2 litters at once!
The puppies came at the end of the month. Sheba was so excited about what she had done that she came to get us and drug us back to the shelter to show us her babies.
Is that not the cutest thing you have seen?...they are so adorable and I am now having a hard time keeping Madison and Tanner off of them.
This is the weirdest thing I have seen...this ishow she nurses them.
This is Madison's favorite
Momma and all her babies
Morgan and Madison on some project outside...I just love seeing them work together!
