Weekend nine

It has been a long week and a half and I wasn't able to update what we did last weekend. So here it is.

We started Friday at the front door. Jonah was there to help us and we were getting alot done. We stopped here at the corner when it was break time.

We have the scaffolding so we can get to the top to nail in the siding. It is a great help, but it is not easy to move into place since the foundation has still not been back filled. We need to use cement blocks and wood to prop up the legs and it is usually still very shakiy.

By the end of Friday we had finished the front of the house and the side

By the end of Saturday we had finished the back of the house.

The nail at the left is a brand new nail that we are using on the siding. As we nail these in they are twisting and bending and incredibly difficult to get in. See the examples on the left of nails that we "tried" to nail in (this is what they look like after just one hit with the hammer).

This is just one pile of nails that were wasted on half of one sections of siding.
